I've been picking up bits of rusty metal pretty much all my life. Over the years I've used them as decor, in sculpture and in dozens of photographs. These are some of the most recent.

Most of the bits here were picked up over the last couple of years around old farms in the area, mainly my father's and grandfather's places. The colors are real, though when making the photos I chose the time of day and angle of light to emphasize color and texture.

All photos were made with sunlight, either in the studio or on location.
